Just Say YES
The truth is the word YES is such a powerful word. It moves you from a place of sitting still to moving into action. It moves you from your stubborn stance to your position of surrender. It takes you out of park and puts you in drive. Your head no longer bowed down in defeat, but lifted in pride with victory.
The doors that were once closed are now open to endless possibilities. You no longer wait for your invitation but instead you send in your RSVP.
I was once the person who always said, "NO".
I can't do this because I'm not good at it.
I won't do this because I just might fail.
I don't do this because I don't know how.
I'm scared so, "NO"
I'm nervous so, "NO"
I'm inexperienced so, "NO"
Then one day God woke me up and showed me how much of life I was missing. He allowed me to see the things that were passing me by, and all the things I would never realize. He spoke to my heart and reached down and grabbed me from my place of complacency and my false sense of security, and said, "If you really want the life I have for you then I need your, "YES".
I vividly remember dancing to a worship song that said, "Will your heart and soul say, "Yes"? If I showed you what I really need ? Would your spirit still say, "YES"? As I reflect back I realize that in that year I wrote out the name for a ministry that would finally be birthed 3 years later. I had no idea what would come from it, but I knew God wanted more. How, and what, I didn't know because I had no idea what I was doing, but I knew God had a great calling on my life so I responded:
YES, I will go alone.
YES, I will follow you.
YES, I will do it scared.
Yes, I trust you God.
A life consumed by "No" will never be stretched to grow, and the possibilities of greatness can never be realized.
BUT, that YES life is the best life! God can use you there. Opportunities can meet you there. Promise awaits on the other side.
Every step won't be clear but the promise of your destination is certain.
I'm writing this letter because of my YES. What will you do with yours?
Whatever it is, stay committed, be faithful and believe!
I believe in you, but more importantly God does!
These are my letters for life.
Love and Blessings,
Antoinette
